Info: For the final of the Simple Sounds EP, we bring in the disco courtesy of two of Will’s favourite fellow artists. Putsch 79 take Will’s album cut ‘Speak & Spell’ deeper and darker but maintain Will’s original chord progression. The undulating dark disco mix slowly evolves into a fabulous euphoric crescendo that’s already proving to be irresistible to our feet.
On the flip, Northern lads 2020 Soundsystem, led by Ralph Lawson and Dubble D, re-interpret Will’s underground classic Pause in their signature live style. Not to be missed is that p-funk keyboard solo in the last quarter!
Putsch 79 are two young Finnish freaks, rocking shit on Clone Records and beyond. They´re all about warm grooving disco beats, throbbing basslines and smooth chords with influences from techno and house – a match made in heaven for us! 2020 Soundsystem are bloody good live and you should check them out at one of Europe’s fine discoteques.
