Jack Rock - Formation Flying
Label: Tic Tac Toe Records
Catalog#: TTT021R
Country: Denmark
Released: 12 Dec 2007
Style: Techno, Minimal, Tech House
Quality: VBR V2
Info: This release is without a doubt Tic Tac Toe Records best bid for the ”anthem of the year” awards.
Guy Gerber who is so well known for his Cocoon, Bedrock & Supplement Facts releases was nominated best newcomer in German magazine Groove in last years poll, but he’s no newcomer anymore: He’s right up there in the top league alongside the best producers and remixers today and we’re immensely proud to release his excellent remix of Formation Flying on Tic Tac Toe Records.
This is why we decided to release it as a limited single sided 12” in red coloured vinyl so you better go get your hands on this special gem, as long as it’s still in stock!!
Gerber has turned the original melodic track with rich pads into a monster groover featuring hard-hitting beats and in your face melodies, but still keeping the well-known Guy Gerber trancy touch driving the track and crowd further and further into oblivion!
As you can probably tell by now, this remix is a bit harder and deeper than the usual Guy Gerber tracks; as a matter of fact we’re convinced this is among his best works ever! // Resident Advisor

Steve Lawler - Violet
Label: VIVA Music
Catalog#: VIVA011
Format: File, MP3, Exclusive On Beatport
Country: UK
Released: 06 Dec 2007
Style: House, Tech House
Bitrate: 320kbps CBR
Info: Following his awesome 'Courses For Horses' release on Renaissance, Steve Lawler makes a long-waited return to production duties on his own Viva Music imprint, marking the event with a stellar set of remixes from a who's who of modern electronic music.
The original version is a slow-burning house workout, sporting liquid bass and hooky, synthetised percussion, all underpinned with Steve's typically awesome drums. Fresh from mixing the latest Global Underground compilation alongside his erstwhile companion Layo, Bushwacka! files solo for his rework, pairing the original percussion with a skippy groove and jarring, off-kilter synth work.
Next up, rising star and Caravan Records boss October puts his considerable production talents to work, chewing up the original percussion and adding fuzz-edged melodies before building things up over the last two minutes with hissing riffs and dark atmospherics.
Finally, Romanian production duo and VIVA Music Favorites Livio & Roby add gated pads to a thick, drummy groove, sure to appeal to fans of Get Physical's recent output.
Tracklist:
1. Steve Lawler - Violet (Original Mix)
2. Steve Lawler - Violet (Bushwacka! Mix)
3. Steve Lawler - Violet (Livio And Roby Black Sea Coast Mix)
4. Steve Lawler - Violet (October's Caravan Mix)

Elektrochemie - Get Yourself EP
Label: Get Physical Music
Catalog#: GPM 082
Country: Germany
Released: 12 Dec 2007
Style: Minimal, Tech House
Quality: 320 kbps CBR
Info: The ‘Get Yourself’ EP is Elektrochemie’s third offering for Get Physical, following the incredibly well-received ‘Pleasure Seeker’, ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Mucky Star’ 12”s. Opening track ‘Faking’ begins in lulling, opiated fashion, flirting with spaced-out tom sounds before a fierce kickdrum arrives to really get the (techno) show on the road. Caitlin’s voice, at once sinister and enticing, advises us to “move into it, be done with all that superficial shit”, and as Stephan and Thomas work the percussion, jotting around the beats with pitch-shifting analogue basslines and hissing hi-hats, you’ll be unable to resist ‘Faking’’s breathless forward momentum.
Tracklist:
1. Faking
2. No. 19
3. Get Yourself
4. My Home
